Ohio Global Jam 2009
It’s looking like that time of the year again! Time for the Global Jam for Karmic 9.10! The Ohio LoCo is being sponsored by the John Carroll CS Department, and it’s shaping up to be an outstanding event! I was able to hook us up with a room, the event will be in the Dolan Science Building East. The event will be Saturday, October 3ed. Anyone in the area should really make a strong effort to show up, it’s time to let the NEO Branch Shine! We will be hacking away from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We’ll also get some foodstuffs and hopefully some Ubuntu swag!
Let’s rock this out!

Ohio Linux
Just got back from Ohio Linux Fest ( http://ohiolinux.org/ ). Man oh man, what an outstanding show. There were talks from ( the great ) Shawn Powers, Douglas McIllroy, and Jorge Castro. I had a blast. There was a real strong Ubuntu showing, really dominated the conference. Fedora, KDE, the FSF, and EFF all had some really elaborate setups the year, it was a blast talking with one of the Senior KDE Developers, Ian.
I will be sure to make it next year, with a hopefully larger showing from the Ohio LoCo, and perhaps some extra swag! Sorry to anyone out there who was caught short, some unforeseen circumstances prevented a bit of what we had planed from arriving.
Hey! All of you out there with photos, post ‘em! Let’s get a nice buz around OLF, and make next years just as fantastic as this year’s turned out!
