A Call to Arms

As many of you know, the Ubuntu Beginners Team ( UBT ) is tirelessly working to aid in the Ubuntu Community. We have a few focus groups that fall under the team that preform that role, and one of these is Development. The Beginners Team is an active team working to help beginners to Ubuntu into the community. The development team’s mission is to aid in the development of applications that will directly help the new user. The great thing about our mission is that most applications fall under this category, a stable, full featured and documented application is a good application.

This is a call to arms. Ubuntu applications are prefered, but any F/OSS application is welcome for consideration. Any projects that would like help with active development should stop by the channel on Freenode, ##beginners-dev and get in touch. We are willing to work on a project for a good chunk of time. Big projects that could use a hand are welcome, but we think the small projects that are lacking on manpower would be best served by our help.
